Are you living in pre-historic times?

Are you still confused about social media? Maybe you know you need to get in the game, but you’re not sure where to start. Or perhaps you’ve established yourself on some networks, but have not been able to keep up with them consistently. I often find business owners have great intentions, but many simply do not have the time to maintain the sustainable presence critical to social media success.

Enter a social media manager.  A social media manager can assure your time is spent on what you do best. To help better understand what a social media manager can do for you, we thought we would reach out to some clients.  The first client we talked with was Mimi Reeves, owner of Balloons and More by clicking here.

Susan Pera

Now, we’re honored to interview Susan Pera, owner of The Cornerstone Coffeehouse in Camp Hill. Be sure to “like” their Facebook fan page and follow them on Twitter.

There are folks in different industries that think social media is a waste of time. What is your response to this?

They must be living in pre-historic times! Social media is the way to market and advertise your company, large or small.

What made you decide to hire a social media manager? What qualities were you looking for in a manager?

When we decided to hire Rachel, I was looking for someone who would "take the ball and run” because I wasn't able to do that part of the business. Social media is valuable to me but I need an expert who knows the industry and knew how to market it for my company.

How has social media impacted your business?

We have been using social media for a year now and all I can say is "look at my numbers from last year when we began, to this year." It has grown exponentially every month. We have used no other means of advertising, so what else can those numbers mean?

How have you been able to blend traditional marketing with online marketing?

My traditional marketing has been by word of mouth, customers looking at our advertising in the coffeehouse, along with brochures on all aspects of our business, which includes not only the coffeehouse, but also the Cooking Classes, Catering and events in our private room. With our weekly social media blitz, this traditional way of advertising has worked exceptionally well in getting the word out to more and more customers.

Anything else you would like to add about your experience?

It's been a blessing having Strella Social Media on our team! I would highly recommend them to anyone.
