Many of us, especially those who own a business, can likely say that we put in a lot of hours. We wear many hats and are often the contact point for our clientele and for all the operational components of our business.
Being a business owner is a lot of work, but I wouldn’t trade it in for the world.
Tonight, I decided to watch a movie with my husband, Pete, and enjoy the evening. It’s not often I get a night without hundreds of emails requiring my immediate attention. But, I also have to remember that I have the freedom to watch a movie whenever I like. I have the choice to work as little or as much as I want.
Owning a business is a conscious decision – just like improving one’s health, going back to school, or anything else that makes us who we are.
I’m constantly blessed with love, support, and friendship. I’ve been blessed with a strong work ethic and natural drive to succeed. I’ve been able to learn quickly and bounce back from setbacks without major loss.
I am thankful for all the things that make me who I am – some are natural gifts, others are ways of thinking actualized from childhood, many are the fruits of hard labor, and many more are simple means of encouragement on my path to something bigger than myself. I am thankful for all of the little blessings that make me whole and that help me to realize my place in the world-at-large.
What are you thankful for?
